Factory Direct Blinds Count Down to Christmas!
Christmas is just a week away and the mad dash to get everything done is in full swing.  I'm sure by now you have your tree, your stockings are hung with care, and the only thing left to do is wait for good ole St. Nick to appear.  I envy you!  I still have shopping, tons of wrapping, and cookie making left on my list.  With limited time to get it all done, I've turned to my favorite website, Pinterest, to lend me a helping hand.  Here are a few of my favorite holiday tips, time savers, and good ideas to assist in making the last week before Christmas a more enjoyable time.  Don't forget to follow us on Pinterest for all of our favorite things and great ideas for all of your window covering needs!

This time of year comes is the season for lovely holiday parties.  I never like to go to a party empty handed.  A bottle of wine is always a welcomed gift, but some hosts may not care for wine so flowers are a great alternative.  Finding a festive and inexpensive arrangement can be difficult, so we suggest making your own.  Simply tie a rubber band around the flowers of your choice, tuck candy canes around and then hide the rubber band with a ribbon.  Its easy, but it looks like it took you all afternoon!

We have all experienced that moment when someone hands you a present and you have nothing to give in return.  It's an awful feeling.  With just a little prep work, you can keep that from happening this year.  Get the kids involved to help paint the faces on each snowman.  Then you can use scrap fabric for the top hats and scarfs.  These are cute and simple gifts that anyone would appreciate!

Holiday baking is a tradition, but can be time consuming.  Here is a tasty treat that only takes minutes.  Chocolate covered pretzels are fast and yummy.  This simple, yet festive presentation and it will look like you spent all day in the kitchen!

Now let's think about Christmas decor!  When you need something easy and inexpensive, paper snowflakes are a fun way to add some holiday cheer around your house. This is also another great project for the kids to help you out with.

Gift wrapping is a simple thing that may get over looked.  When you put so much time and effort into finding the perfect gift, don't ruin it by just throwing it in a boring bag!  Brown butcher paper with a beautiful ribbon or lace detail may take a few more minutes but it makes a huge difference.

Having friends stop by is also a regular occurrence this time of year.  Have a few of these treats ready for any unexpected guest.  Add them to hot cocoa and you will be the hostess with the most-est!

The most important thing to remember is to enjoy the season!  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Factory Direct Blinds!
