 Wooden Faux Blinds and Blinds

Everyone loves the stunning look and beauty of real wood blinds, but sometimes they're not a cost-effective solution. Faux blinds allow you to experience the look and feel of real wood, including the light blockage real wood offers, without the high price tag. But price isn't the only thing that might deter you from using natural wood as a window covering. Faux wood window blinds are ideal in places that are damp, especially high humidity areas, because they're moisture-resistant and won't swell, as well as lead-free and fire-resistant. They’re fade-resistant, too, so they won’t lose their aesthetic from the sun over time. Easy to clean and even easier to maintain, faux wood mini blinds are a great choice for your kitchen, bathroom, home office, sunroom or living room.

Custom Faux Wood Blinds for your Home

Premium faux wood blinds are a low-cost alternative to real wood blinds. Created from high-quality, man-made PVC materials, faux wood window blinds are a great investment for your home. Choose from a wide range of colors (such as black and white faux wood blinds), stains, and wood grain textures to make them pop against your current decor or to create a matching scheme. Faux wood mini blinds can withstand humid climates, won't swell and act as a natural insulator, so it's a perfect choice for a range of different environments. These flexible window treatments also provide light control, allowing you to decide how much (or little) light enters your room. However, 2 inch faux wood blinds are our most popular option!

Measuring & Installing Faux Wood Blinds- FAQs:

FAQs

How much do faux wood blinds cost?

The price of faux wood blinds varies depending on the manufacturer, design, size, control style, and other factors. The most affordable options usually cost between $20 and $40, while the high-end blinds can cost more than $100.

How to measure for faux wood blinds?

First, decide whether you want to install your faux wood blinds inside or outside the window frame. If you want to install them inside, the first step is to check whether the window’s size, depth, and frame match the mounting requirements. Then, you should measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom of the window inside the frame and use the narrowest dimension as a reference point. Finally, measure the height at the left side, middle, and right side of the window and use the tallest measurement. When measuring the window for outside-mount blinds, repeat the same steps as above, but remember to factor in the desired amount if there’s no window trim. Also, calculate how much space you’ll need for the hardware.

How to install faux wood blinds?

Start the installation process by positioning the hardware and using a leveler to ensure proper fit. Mark the edges with a pencil. Grab your brackets, line them up with pencil marks, and mark the holes for screws. Then, create pilot holes with a drill bit, hammer, or screwdriver, depending on where you’re installing the blinds. Align the first bracket with the pencil marks and insert the screws, and repeat the process for the other bracket. Now, attach the valance clips if your blinds have them. Slide the headrail into the brackets and close the covers to secure the blinds. Test the blinds to see if they’re installed correctly.

How to clean faux wood blinds?

Use a microfiber cloth dipped in warm soapy water or a feather duster to clean your faux wood blinds. Then, use a clean cloth to dry each slat. Remember not to use abrasive cleaners as they could damage the paint or the finish.
