Product Information

Our 2" Classic Cordless Faux Wood Blinds in Woodtone bring the warm, natural look of stained hardwood to your windows, without the price tag, the warping, or the upkeep of real wood.

They're a proven customer favorite with countless thousands of units sold over more than 3 decades in business and our most affordable Woodtone faux wood blind.

Each blind is custom-made to your exact window measurements and finished with a deluxe 3 1/4" crown molding valance for a polished, built-in look. The smooth cordless lift keeps window sills clean and makes these blinds "Best for Kids" certified for homes with children and pets.

Why Homeowners Choose Our Classic Woodtone Faux Wood Blinds

  • Real Wood Look, Faux Wood Toughness: Durable, moisture-resistant PVC composite delivers rich woodgrain warmth in kitchens, bathrooms, and humid spaces where real wood would warp.
  • Cordless Lift Operation: Simply push up or pull down on the bottom rail, and the blind stays exactly where you leave it. No dangling cords, no tangles, no hazards.
  • Child Safe Certified: Independently certified "Best for Kids", plus non-toxic, lead-free, and fire retardant materials for total peace of mind.
  • Deluxe Crown Molding Valance Included: A 3 1/4" crown valance with side returns comes standard for a finished, furniture-quality look. (Note: a flush-mount valance is not available on this product.)
  • Effortless Light Control: A left-side tilt wand rotates the 2" slats from fully open to fully closed, so you can fine-tune privacy and sunlight all day long.
  • Easy to Clean and Maintain: Just wipe slats with a damp cloth. No polishing, refinishing, or special products required.

Four Elegant Woodtone Finishes

Available in four designer woodtones, each engineered with fade-resistant color that holds its depth even in sunny, south-facing rooms:

  • Hazelnut: A soft, light-to-medium brown that brightens rooms and pairs beautifully with neutral and farmhouse palettes.
  • Tigerwood: A striking orange to red mid-tone grain with natural variation, perfect for adding warmth and character to living spaces.
  • Cognac: A rich, reddish-brown reminiscent of stained oak, and a classic match for traditional furniture and hardwood floors.
  • Mahogany: A deep, luxurious dark finish that anchors a room and delivers a high-end, custom-shutter feel.

Pro Tip: Woodtones read differently under your home's unique lighting. We highly recommend ordering free samples (up to 10, shipped free) so you can compare finishes against your trim, floors, and furniture before you buy.

Faux Wood vs. Real Wood Blinds: Which Should You Pick?

Both offer the timeless horizontal-slat look, but they perform very differently depending on the room:

Feature Faux Wood Blinds Real Wood Blinds
Moisture Resistance Excellent. Safe for kitchens & bathrooms Can warp or crack in humidity over time
Durability High. Resists dents, fading, and warping Moderate. Needs gentler handling
Cleaning Wipe with a damp cloth Dry dusting only
Weight Heavier. Best on standard windows Lighter. Better for very large windows
Price Budget-friendly Premium
Best For Kitchens, bathrooms, kids' rooms, living rooms, offices Living rooms, offices, formal spaces

Classic vs. Signature: Which Faux Wood Line Is Right for You?

The Classic line is our best-value woodtone faux wood blind, and the smart choice when you want the warmth of wood, certified child safety, and a crown valance at the lowest possible price. If you're after a wider color selection and an even more upscale finish, step up to our premium 2" Signature Cordless Faux Wood Blinds, which offer a broader range of woodgrain finishes and a matching decorative valance for a seamless designer look.

Prefer a crisp, bright aesthetic instead of woodgrain? The same Classic quality is available in our 2" Classic Cordless Faux Wood Blinds in White, ideal for modern trim-matched interiors.

How to Measure & Install

Taking accurate measurements is straightforward. Let us walk you through the process!

To ensure a perfect fit, keep these essential pointers in mind:

  • Always use a metal measuring tape for the best accuracy; fabric tapes can stretch and lead to errors.
  • If your width measurement falls on a 1/16" or 1/32" mark, round down to the nearest 1/8".
  • If your height measurement lands on a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the closest 1/8".
  • Always consult the Product Specifications for the product you are measuring for. If you have questions, we will be happy to help!

Instructions for Inside Mounted Faux Wood Blinds

Depth Requirements: For an inside mount, you'll need to make sure the window frame is deep enough to accommodate the faux wood blind. Refer to the Product Specifications for minimum depths depending on your chosen valance option.

Measuring the width

  • The width measurement is found by measuring the inside of the window frame in three locations: the top, middle, and bottom.
  • Choose the smallest of these measurements.
  • If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round down to the nearest 1/8".
  • That's your width for your faux wood blinds.

Measuring the height

  • The height measurement is found by measuring the inside of the window frame in three locations: the left, center, and right.
  • Choose the largest of these measurements.
  • If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the nearest 1/8".
  • That's your height for your faux wood blinds.
Do not make any deductions. The factory will make a small deduction to ensure the blind fits inside your window frame. If you would like more light coverage, an outside mount will minimize any potential light gaps.

Instructions for Outside Mounted Faux Wood Blinds

An outside mount sits outside of the window and the window frame. Because it is meant to cover the entire space of the window, you'll need to make some additions to the measurements to make sure you order the right size. Please follow the instructions below.

Measuring the width

  • Measure the width of the area you want the shade to cover across the top.
  • We suggest adding at least 4 inches to the width (2 inches per side) to minimize light gaps.
  • That's your width for your faux wood blinds.

Measuring the height

  • Measure the height from where you want the headrail to sit down to the window sill or desired length.
  • We suggest adding at least 4 inches to the height (2 inches top, 2 inches bottom).
  • That's your height for your faux wood blinds.
