Our Woven Wood Cordless Top-Down/Bottom-Up Shades solve the oldest problem in window treatments: you want daylight, but you don't want the neighbors.
Lower the shade from the top to pull sunlight in across the ceiling while the bottom half of your window stays completely covered.
You get that flexibility in genuine hand-woven natural fiber, bamboo, reeds, and grasses, with the same warm dappled light and tailored Roman folds as our standard woven woods. An integrated 6" valance conceals the hardware, and the dual cordless system means no cords anywhere on the window.
Two Ways to Open One Window
- Top-Down for Light Without Exposure: Drop the top rail to flood the room with daylight while keeping the lower portion of the glass covered. Privacy where you stand, sunshine overhead.
- Bottom-Up for Traditional Operation: Raise it from the bottom like any standard shade when you want the full view and maximum openness.

Naturally Unique, Naturally Unlined
These shades are woven from materials harvested from nature, so variation in color, grain, and texture is expected, small cracks in bamboo reeds are normal, and no two shades are identical. Fibers may deepen slightly with sun exposure over the years. That irregularity is exactly what gives woven woods their handmade character.
They are also unlined, which is what lets the weave glow, and which means they deliver semi-privacy rather than total privacy. By day the weave obscures the view inside. After dark, with interior lights on, silhouettes will be visible through the fabric. The top-down function helps considerably here, since the covered section sits exactly where sightlines matter, but for full nighttime privacy we recommend pairing with drapery panels.

Sizing, Mounting & Care
Every shade is custom-woven and cut to your measurements for a precise fit.
- Width: 18" minimum to 72" maximum.
- Height: 36" minimum to 72" maximum. The taller minimum height gives the dual-rail system the room it needs to operate smoothly.
- Mounting: Multi-directional brackets support inside or outside mount, with hidden hardware for a clean installation.
- Length Variance: A natural material variance of roughly 3/8" to 1/2" in length is normal for woven shades.
- Care: Dust with a soft brush or vacuum gently on a low upholstery setting. Avoid soaking natural fibers, and skip woven woods in showers or consistently wet areas.

Important Product Notes
- Your woven natural shade is made with materials harvested from nature.
- Due to the natural characteristics of the product, there may be a 1/2"-3/8" variance on length.
- Each harvest of natural fibers is unique and will have variations in color, grain, texture, striations and warping. As a result of these inherent qualities, no two shades are identical, nor can they be.
- Over time, exposure to light will soften and slightly darken the color of the shade.
- Small cracks in bamboo slats are natural and unavoidable.
How to Measure & Install
Taking accurate measurements is straightforward. Let us walk you through the process!
To ensure a perfect fit, keep these essential pointers in mind:
- Always use a metal measuring tape for the best accuracy; fabric tapes can stretch and lead to errors.
- If your width measurement falls on a 1/16" or 1/32" mark, round down to the nearest 1/8".
- If your height measurement lands on a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the closest 1/8".

Instructions for Inside Mounted Woven Wood Shades
Depth Requirements: For an inside mount, you'll need to make sure the window frame is deep enough to accommodate the woven wood shade. Refer to the Product Specifications for minimum depths depending on your chosen valance option.
Measuring the width
- The width measurement is found by measuring the inside of the window frame in three locations: the top, middle, and bottom.
- Choose the smallest of these measurements.
- If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round down to the nearest 1/8".
- That's your width for your woven wood shades.
Measuring the height
- The height measurement is found by measuring the inside of the window frame in three locations: the left, center, and right.
- Choose the largest of these measurements.
- If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the nearest 1/8".
- That's your height for your woven wood shades.
Instructions for Outside Mounted Woven Wood Shades
An outside mount sits outside of the window and the window frame. Because it is meant to cover the entire space of the window, you'll need to make some additions to the measurements to make sure you order the right size. Please follow the instructions below.
Measuring the width
- Measure the width of the area you want the shade to cover across the top.
- We suggest adding at least 4 inches to the width (2 inches per side) to minimize light gaps.
- That's your width for your woven wood shades.
Measuring the height
- Measure the height from where you want the headrail to sit down to the window sill or desired length.
- We suggest adding at least 4 inches to the height (2 inches top, 2 inches bottom).
- That's your height for your woven wood shades.
