Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy

At Factory Direct Blinds, we want to make your window covering shopping experience enjoyable, easy and simple.

All of our products are custom-manufactured to your exact specifications so following our measurement guides before ordering is essential. It is also critically important that you double-check your order email confirmation to ensure every detail is correct. We understand that errors can happen, so we offer our MeasureSafe™ Guarantee to give you extra peace of mind.

We have established the following policies to ensure you receive a product you love while maintaining our commitment to factory-direct pricing.


1. Custom-Made Policy

All window coverings are manufactured specifically for your order. All sales are final, and products are non-refundable.

  • Measurement Accuracy: Unless the MeasureSafe™ Guarantee was purchased, the customer is responsible for all measurement accuracy. We cannot accept returns or offer refunds for incorrectly ordered sizes.
  • General Exclusions: We do not accept returns for color dissatisfaction (we strongly recommend ordering free samples first) or a "change of heart."

2. Order Confirmation, Cancellations & Modifications

When an order is placed online, it is immediately submitted for production. Consequently, production is scheduled immediately after orders are paid and confirmed.

  • Customer Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the customer to verify all order details on the order confirmation email. Factory Direct Blinds does not accept responsibility for any errors in ordering.
  • Verification Window: Please review your order confirmation email immediately. You must contact us at support@factorydirectblinds.com on the same business day to make any necessary corrections.
  • Modification Policy: Any request for changes or cancellation beyond the same business day of the order cannot be guaranteed. We will make every effort to help you modify orders if requested after the same business day, though we cannot guarantee changes once the production process has begun.
  • Missing Confirmations: If you do not receive an email confirmation for any reason, it is your responsibility to contact us immediately to obtain it.

3. Manufacturing Defects & Issues

We stand behind our material and workmanship. If your product has a defect or was not manufactured to the specifications on your order confirmation:

  • Reporting Period: Contact us within 30 calendar days of the ship date. Photos and a short video of the issue may be required to process your claim.
  • Resolution: If approved, your product will be remade to the original specifications and shipped at no cost to you.
  • Reporting: Email support@factorydirectblinds.com with the subject line WARRANTY. Include your order number, details of the issue, and the required visual evidence.

4. Shipping Damage

Please inspect your order thoroughly upon receipt to ensure that it has not been damaged in shipping.

  • Reporting Period: Damage must be reported within 10 business days of delivery.
  • Requirement: Email support@factorydirectblinds.com with photographic evidence of the shipping damage to the packaging and the product to process your replacement.

5. MeasureSafe™ Guarantee

If you purchased the MeasureSafe™ Guarantee ($3.99 per covered item) at the time of your order, you are protected against measurement errors under the following terms:

1. Pricing & Activation

The MeasureSafe™ Guarantee fee is $3.99 per covered item. To activate coverage, the fee must be paid for all eligible items in your cart at the time of purchase. This fee is non-refundable once the order has been placed.

2. What is Covered

If you mismeasure your window (width or height), Factory Direct Blinds will manufacture a replacement blind of the same product, color, and lift system at no charge to you. The MeasureSafe™ Guarantee will apply only when the corrected measurements are reasonably consistent with the original order. The corrected measurements for any remake must be within two (2) inches per side of the originally ordered dimensions. A transposition error of width and height measurements will be treated as a qualifying measurement error, provided the corrected dimensions otherwise fall within this tolerance.

  • Coverage Limit: 1 replacement per covered item purchased from your original order, up to a maximum of 4 item replacements per household per lifetime.

3. Customer Responsibilities (The Costs You Pay)

While the replacement blind itself is free, the customer is responsible for:

  • Processing & Shipping: A flat $20.00 fee per remake to cover shipping and handling of the new item. Oversized items will be charged a $120 fee. Orders to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Alaska will be charged an $85 fee.
  • Price Difference: If the new measurement is larger than the original, you must pay the difference in price. If smaller, no refund will be issued.
  • Disposal: You do not need to return the ill-fitting blinds; we ask that you donate or dispose of them locally.

4. Exclusions & Limitations

  • Commercial Orders: This guarantee applies to residential orders only. Orders containing more than 15 items are considered commercial and are not eligible.
  • Product Changes: Remakes must be for the exact same product and specifications. Only the size may be changed.
  • Reporting Window: You must report the measurement error to our support team within 30 days of delivery. Claims made after 30 days will not be accepted.

5. How to File a Claim

Contact our support team at support@factorydirectblinds.com with the subject line MEASURESAFE CLAIM. Please include your order number, the item(s) affected, and the correct measurements needed.


6. Limited Lifetime Warranty

All blinds are covered by a manufacturer’s limited warranty for the original purchaser in a residential application.

7. Color & Product Specifications

  • Color Variations: Returns are not accepted for color dissatisfaction. We encourage you to order free samples as monitors vary. Exact matches to previous orders or sample swatches cannot be guaranteed.
  • Product Changes: Hardware and specifications may change without notice.
  • Reselection: For non-manufacturing issues (outside of the MeasureSafe™ Guarantee), a review of a physical sample swatch is required before any replacement is processed.

8. General Terms & Limitations

  • Replacement Limit: No-cost or discounted replacements are limited to a one-time replacement per product, per household.
  • Price Differences: If a replacement is a higher price, the customer pays the difference. If lower, no refund is issued.
  • Lead Times: Production days are Monday–Friday (excluding holidays). Orders of 25+ units may require extended time. Out-of-stock materials are not eligible for rush production.
  • Final Discretion: All resolutions, guarantees, and issues are subject to review and approval by Factory Direct Blinds.
