Each one is made from a designer-selected patterned fabric, painterly brushstrokes, botanical scrolls, layered abstract washes, and hung as a broad, uninterrupted panel of cloth. The window stops being an opening in the wall and becomes the piece of art the room is arranged around.

Eleven patterns across five fabric families, every one available in all three fold styles, all five linings, and every control system we build. The result is a shade with a real point of view that still does the practical work of light control and privacy.

The Five Pattern Families

Rather than scrolling eleven swatches, it helps to know what each family is doing:

• Verdant in Vivid Blue and Taupe. Our boldest statement: loose, gestural brushstrokes at large scale. Vivid Blue is graphic and confident; Taupe is the same energy turned quiet and neutral.
• Azurite in Sandstone and Vista Blue. Softly layered, almost geological washes of color with a weathered, plastered quality. Pattern that reads as texture from across a room.
• Brandy in Sage. A classic scrolling botanical damask, tonal and elegant, the most traditional design in the collection.
• Crane in Blue, Pink, and Slate. Lighter, more delicate motifs with a gentle, decorative sensibility that suits bedrooms and nurseries.
• Jamaican in Navy, Pewter, and Yacht. Crisp, structured patterning with a tailored, slightly nautical confidence.

How Fold Style Frames a Pattern

With a patterned fabric, fold style is not just about silhouette, it determines how much of the design you actually see. All three are available on every Artisan fabric:

• Flat Fold: The pattern's best friend. When lowered, the shade is one smooth, tailored panel with no interruptions, so a large-scale design reads exactly as the designer drew it. Both photographs above and below use flat fold for precisely this reason. Choose it for bold, graphic, or large-repeat patterns.
• Plain Fold: The classic pleated Roman. Crisp horizontal pleats break gently across the design, adding rhythm and shadow. This suits smaller-scale and all-over patterns beautifully, where the repeat is dense enough that the pleat lines become part of the texture rather than a disruption.
• Soft Fold: Hobbled construction, with gentle draping waves that stay even when the shade is fully lowered. The most luxurious and romantic silhouette, and lovely with tonal or painterly patterns where soft shadow adds depth.

Plain and flat fold are included at no extra cost. Soft fold uses considerably more fabric to build its permanent draping and is priced accordingly.

Five Linings, and What Each One Does to Your Pattern

The liner behind a patterned shade does more work than people expect. It controls light, but it also determines how the colors read:

• Standard Light Filtering, White or Ivory (included): Softens daylight into an even glow with daytime privacy. A white liner keeps the face fabric's colors cool and true. An ivory liner warms them a half-step, which flatters sage, sand, taupe, and every earthy palette. The Brandy Sage above uses ivory, and it is why the greens read soft rather than sharp.
• Thermal Sateen, White or Ivory: Denser and smoother, cutting more light and adding real insulation at the glass, while still letting a gentle luminosity through. The right middle ground for bedrooms and for windows that run hot or cold.
• Premium Blackout, White: Fully opaque. No light passes through the fabric, so your statement pattern can live in a bedroom, nursery, or media room without compromise. The Verdant Vivid Blue at the top of this page is blackout-lined.

A thermal sateen liner is at its best exactly where you see it here: a west-facing window at sunset, where an unlined or lightly lined shade would flare and glare. The denser liner holds the light back, keeps the fabric's own tones intact, and adds insulation against the temperature swing that big windows bring at either end of the day.

Using Pattern Well: A Short Guide

A patterned shade is a commitment, and a little planning makes it a confident one rather than a risky one:

• Let it be the loudest thing. If the shade carries the pattern, keep upholstery, rugs, and cushions quiet. The office at the top of this page works because everything except the window is a neutral.
• Scale up, not down. On a large window, a small timid print disappears into visual noise. A big, confident repeat reads as intentional. Conversely, on a narrow window, a large repeat may get cropped awkwardly, so favor smaller motifs there.
• Pull one color out. Take a single shade from the fabric and echo it once elsewhere in the room, a cushion, a throw, a vase. One echo is styling. Five is a theme.
• Multiple windows, one pattern. Running the same design across several windows in a room reads as deliberate and expensive. Mixing patterns between windows in the same room rarely does.
• Consider the view from outside. Because the liner faces the street, your home's exterior stays consistent no matter how bold the interior fabric.

• Corded, Left or Right: The traditional lift cord on whichever side suits your room.
• Cordless: Nothing visible to interrupt the pattern, and the safest choice around children and pets.

Sizing, Mounting & Care

• Custom Made: Cut and sewn to your exact measurements in 1/8" increments.
• Mount Options: Inside mount for a recessed look, flush inside mount, or outside mount to cover the full opening and minimize light gaps.
• Factory Deductions: Inside mounts take a small deduction (up to 1/4" depending on valance). Outside mounts are made to the exact size ordered.
• Headrail Options: Standard open roller, 3" white aluminum fascia, or a cassette valance with a matching fabric insert.
• Manufacturing Tolerance: +/- 1/8" on width and height.
• Care: Dust with a soft brush or vacuum gently on a low upholstery setting. Spot clean only; never machine wash or soak.
• Warranty: Limited lifetime warranty on components, with 5-year coverage on motorization.
