Product Information

Our 2" Signature Cordless Faux Wood Blinds in Woodtone are the flagship of our faux wood collection.

Ten deeply saturated, true-to-nature woodgrain finishes, from pale Wheat to espresso-dark Walnut, deliver the look of custom-stained hardwood shutters while shrugging off the humidity, warping, and upkeep that come with real wood.

Every blind is custom-crafted to your measurements and finished with a color-matched valance cut from the same faux wood material as the slats, in your choice of Crown or Urban styling, so the grain and tone flow uninterrupted across the entire window. Cordless lift operation keeps the lines clean and earns the independent "Best for Kids" safety certification.

What You Get at the Top of the Line

  • Our Richest Woodtone Collection: 10 saturated finishes with lifelike grain depth, including dark stains like Mahogany and Dark Walnut that are hard to find in faux wood, plus Lead, a modern charcoal woodgrain.
  • Seamless Color-Matched Valance, Your Way: Pick a traditional Crown profile or a sleek Urban profile. Either way it's made from the identical slat material, so there's no near-miss color matching, just one continuous finish.
  • Cordless Lift Operation: Push up or pull down on the bottom rail, and the blind holds exactly where you leave it. No cords, no tangles, no hazards.
  • Child Safe Certified: Independently certified "Best for Kids", plus non-toxic, lead-free, and fire retardant materials.
  • Real Wood Look, Zero Real Wood Problems: Moisture-resistant composite slats keep their deep color and straight lines in kitchens, bathrooms, and sunny south-facing rooms.
  • Precise Light Control: A tilt wand rotates the 2" slats from fully open to fully closed, mounted on the left or right side, whichever you prefer.

Ten Rich Woodtones, From Golden Wheat to Dark Walnut

The Signature palette runs the full spectrum of stained hardwood, so you can match existing floors, cabinetry, and furniture instead of settling for "close enough":

Woodtone Character
Wheat A pale golden blonde for light, Scandinavian-inspired rooms
Oak Classic honeyed oak, a timeless mid-light stain
Hazelnut A soft light-to-medium brown that flatters neutral palettes
Butternut A warm golden brown with natural depth
Acorn A balanced medium nut-brown that works almost anywhere
Tigerwood Striking grain variation for rooms that want character
Cognac A rich reddish brown reminiscent of stained oak
Mahogany A deep, luxurious red-brown with a formal feel
Dark Walnut An espresso-dark brown that anchors a room like fine furniture
Lead A modern charcoal-grey woodgrain for contemporary spaces

Pro Tip: Deep stains shift dramatically between morning and evening light. Order free samples (up to 10, shipped free) and live with them against your floors and furniture for a day before choosing.

Is the Signature Upgrade Worth It? Classic vs. Signature

Our 2" Classic Cordless Faux Wood Blinds in Woodtone are an excellent value, and for many rooms they're all you need. Signature is the step up for spaces where the blinds are part of the design, not just a covering:

  • 2.5x the woodtone selection: 10 finishes versus 4, including the dark stains (Dark Walnut, Mahogany) and modern grey (Lead) that the Classic line doesn't offer.
  • Color-matched valance: Signature's crown valance is made from the same slat material for a perfect match, giving the finished blind a custom-shutter presence.
  • Design-grade grain: The Signature finishes are our most saturated and lifelike woodgrains, made to hold up next to real hardwood floors and furniture.
  • True custom tailoring: Choose your valance style and how it sits (fully recessed, partially recessed, or wall-mounted), pick which side the tilt wand hangs on, and add optional hold-down brackets. The Classic line keeps these decisions fixed.

Prefer a brighter palette instead? Our 2" Premier Cordless Faux Wood Blinds carry 12 light designer finishes in whites, grey, and sun-washed woodtones.

Dark Woodtones Without the Real Wood Worry

Dark-stained real wood blinds are beautiful and famously high-maintenance: they show dust, fade in direct sun, and warp in humidity. Signature's composite slats are engineered for fade resistance and complete moisture resistance, so you can hang a Dark Walnut blind over the kitchen sink or in a steamy bathroom and it will look freshly stained for years. Cleaning is a damp cloth, not furniture polish.

Made to Measure: Sizing & Finishing Options

Every Signature blind is cut to order for your exact window in widths up to 96 inches and heights up to 72 inches, from narrow accent windows to extra-wide picture windows and sliding doors. As our flagship line, Signature also puts the finishing details in your hands:

  • Mount Options: Inside mount for a clean, recessed look (minimum 1 7/8" depth for cordless lift) or outside mount to make windows appear larger.
  • Valance Styles & Placement: Crown or Urban profile, positioned fully recessed (flush inside the frame), partially recessed, or mounted in front on the wall for outside mounts.
  • Tilt Wand Side: Specify left or right at order time so the wand lands on the most convenient side of the window.
  • Optional Hold-Down Brackets: Secure the bottom rail on French doors and high-traffic spots so the blind stays put.
  • Manufacturing Tolerances: Width +/- 1/8"; height + 1" or - 0".

How to Measure & Install

Taking accurate measurements is straightforward. Let us walk you through the process!

To ensure a perfect fit, keep these essential pointers in mind:

  • Always use a metal measuring tape for the best accuracy; fabric tapes can stretch and lead to errors.
  • If your width measurement falls on a 1/16" or 1/32" mark, round down to the nearest 1/8".
  • If your height measurement lands on a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the closest 1/8".
  • Always consult the Product Specifications for the product you are measuring for. If you have questions, we will be happy to help!

Instructions for Inside Mounted Faux Wood Blinds

Depth Requirements: For an inside mount, you'll need to make sure the window frame is deep enough to accommodate the faux wood blind. Refer to the Product Specifications for minimum depths depending on your chosen valance option.

Measuring the width

  • The width measurement is found by measuring the inside of the window frame in three locations: the top, middle, and bottom.
  • Choose the smallest of these measurements.
  • If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round down to the nearest 1/8".
  • That's your width for your faux wood blinds.

Measuring the height

  • The height measurement is found by measuring the inside of the window frame in three locations: the left, center, and right.
  • Choose the largest of these measurements.
  • If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the nearest 1/8".
  • That's your height for your faux wood blinds.
Do not make any deductions. The factory will make a small deduction to ensure the blind fits inside your window frame. If you would like more light coverage, an outside mount will minimize any potential light gaps.

Instructions for Outside Mounted Faux Wood Blinds

An outside mount sits outside of the window and the window frame. Because it is meant to cover the entire space of the window, you'll need to make some additions to the measurements to make sure you order the right size. Please follow the instructions below.

Measuring the width

  • Measure the width of the area you want the shade to cover across the top.
  • We suggest adding at least 4 inches to the width (2 inches per side) to minimize light gaps.
  • That's your width for your faux wood blinds.

Measuring the height

  • Measure the height from where you want the headrail to sit down to the window sill or desired length.
  • We suggest adding at least 4 inches to the height (2 inches top, 2 inches bottom).
  • That's your height for your faux wood blinds.
