Donating to Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that is devoted to building affordable homes for families. The organization started back in 1976 in Americus, Georgia by the late Millard Fuller and his Wife Linda Fuller. They created habitat for humanity because they believe every family should have a safe place to live.  All of Habitat for Humanities homes are built at no cost and are built by volunteers. There is no interest charged on any loans and Building expenses are financed through a fund called "The Fund for Humanity". The funds money would come from homeowners payments and would be used to fund more building projects. Habitat for humanity makes no profit off of any of the homes built,  and have built over 150,000 homes for families in need. Habitat for Humanity operates in nearly 1,400 communities in the US and in over 70 Countries around the globe.

Humanity ReStores are non-profit home improvement stores & donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture and goods. They gladly accept the hard to get rid of items through donations, whether its picked up by their trucks or dropped off to a local store. Habitat for Humanity even accepts donations of cars, trucks, boats etc! Because so many items are being donated you never know what you will find when you go!  ReStores will  sell all of the home goods and appliances at a fraction of the retail price. All of the proceeds that are made from the Restores are used to fund future building projects around the world.

Factory Direct Blinds recently donated over $35,000.00 worth of blinds to our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Everything from Shutters, Woven Woods, Faux wood Blinds  to Mini Blinds we hope that our donation will help build another home. We love that Habitat for Humanity helps families in need find the perfect home, they continue to give people hope for a better future. We are fully supportive of their slogan and we will continue to support their movement.  All it takes is a helping hand, When you donate on their website or buy anything from their stores you are supporting their mission worldwide.  We will definitely keep them in mind for any further donation of our Blinds & Shutters!
