Vertical Blind Installation Instructions

Easy step-by-step instructions for a perfect installation

If you’ve recently purchased Vertical Blinds you’re in the right place. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the installation process, making it quick, simple, and stress-free. Below, you’ll find everything you need to install your fresh Vertical Blinds
Let’s get started!

Preparation

1. Prepare Square Corner Valance

Insert ends of valance and return into valance corner slots as show in the image below.

2. Optional: Prepare Round Corner Valance

Insert valance corner into channels of valance and return.
Attach inserted material with double-sided tape (fabric only); attach corner edges.

3. Mark Clip Locations

Center headrail in desired location. Measure in 4" from each end and mark for headrail and valance clip locations. Space additional marks evenly along the headrail. Mark clip locations at least 2" from window for vane clearance.

For flush vane mount: Mark 1¾" from front.

For flush mount valance: Mark 2¾" from the front.

4. Drill Holes into Ceiling or Window Frame

Drill holes marked for clip locations. Note: If mounting in drywall, locate a ceiling joist or use wall anchors following the wall anchors installation instructions.

5. Install Mounting Clips and Valance Brackets

Make sure all valance clips are fully extended.
Snap Valance into place. Be sure you hear the valance snap into place.

VALANCES WITH A DUST COVER

3. Mark Drill Hole Locations and Position of Valance

Measure in 4" from each end of the valance, mark a drill hole for each headrail clip ⅝" from back edge of dust cover. Space additional marks equally along the valance.

Center valance in desired location and mark valance width.
Mark valance depth at least 1¾" from the window for vane clearence.
For flush mount valance: Mark 3¼" from the front.

For flush vane mount: Mark 2¾" from front.

4. Drill Holes into Ceiling or Window Frame

Hold valance up. Center valance and align back edge of dust cover with depth marks. Drill holes for marked clip locations. Note: If mounting into drywall, locate a ceiling joist or use wall anchors following wall anchor installation instructions.

5. Install Valance and Mounting Clips

6. Mount Headrail into Brackets

7. Anchor Tension Pulley (Corded Blind Only)

8. Install Cord Guide

Unwrap control cord loop and determine a mounting location for the guide on the wall or window in line with the blind control. With the guide 5" above the cord tension pulley or cord weight, mark the screw location.
Drill at the mark. Install a wall anchor, if required.
Compress the guide and install screw.

9. Use Cord or Baton to Extend Carriages


10. Snap Vanes to Stems

Insert vanes into the stems and that's all, you've successfully installed your blinds!
