Woven Wood Cordless Top-Down/Bottom-Up ShadesYou usually get a cord with most roller blinds. Cordless blinds, however, do away with that cord, allowing you to raise, lower, and open them using a clever rail installed at the bottom of the blind.
Cordless shades work using a simple pull-down and pull-up mechanism. You pull the shade down to its desired position using the bottom rail. When you want to raise the shades, just pull that rail again and the blinds go up. For roller blinds, you can also twist the bottom rail to open or close the slats.
Installing these types of window treatments requires you to fit a pair of brackets, which hold the shade in place. Once you’ve mounted the brackets, you can insert the shades via the pin end. The other side of the shade should then slot onto the other bracket, securing it. Our handyinstallation guide goes into more detail.
A cordless zebra roller shade installs in the same way as regular cordless shades. Fit your brackets, mount the shade, and ensure everything is straightened up before use.
Rolling up cordless roller shades is easier. Just give the bottom rail a little tug and the blind should roll up automatically.
