2014 Color Of The Year "Radiant Orchid"
For 2014 the color of the year is "Radiant Orchid". I could not be more excited about this! Not only do I love orchids but purple is one of my favorite colors. It is a bold, yet totally approachable color and it can be dressed up or kept casual.
It can be a beautiful accent color for a simple white kitchen. A fun printed roman shade is a the perfect way to do this.
If you just cannot seem to be daring enough to go with a solid purple shade, why not try an orchid cloth tape on a white faux wood blind. This allows you to add a pop of color without fully committing.
This purple roller shade looks so crisp and clean, and has a boldness that is just striking.
This is another example of a patterned purple roller shade. It goes beautifully with the browns in this room. Purple also compliments olive and hunter green as well as teals and yellows.
Roman shades are all the rage for 2014 and a purple patterned roman shade is what's in style. Paired with white and a few accents of olive green, this is a great example of how to use this color.
Purple is perfect for window treatments, and for wall colors as well. I love the pattern on this wall, accented with a subtle shade of purple.
This is also going to be a very popular color for weddings. Its pairing with white gives a nice pop without being unapproachable.
I am very excited to see all that 2014 has to bring, and with "Radiant Orchid" as the color of the year I can only expect wonderful things.
